One World were established in Australia and New Zealand in 2003, opening stores in Sydney and Auckland. The company grew rapidly and in 2010 were ranked in the BRW list of the top 100 fastest growing businesses in Australia. The company also expanded into the USA and the team grew to 45 staff members. With this rapid growth, the company was experiencing growing pains with its business software.
Software limitations – The company originally operated MYOB AccountRight which was a great low-cost system while the company was small. As the company grew it became obvious that a more powerful solution was required. One World considered SAP and several other Microsoft SQL based systems before finally choosing MYOB EXO.

The Microsoft SQL database allows for customisation and the addition of specialist software to be integrated into the system. Having an efficient central system has been part of the company’s success story, as it expanded into New Zealand and the USA.

Automating workflows – MYOB EXO has enabled One World to automate workflows that previously required manual interaction and double-handling of data.
Customising reports – Previously the company needed to export data from their accounting software, combine it with data from other sources and then bring it all together using Excel spreadsheets. This involved significant amounts of work, delays and risk of errors. Now, with MYOB EXO these reports are produced automatically.
